About the Experience

This trek begins with a night near the village’s palm grove and gradually takes you deeper into the heart of the Sahara. You’ll explore pristine dunes, silent valleys, and cross paths where nomads once guided their herds. It’s a gentle and soul-enriching journey made for moments of reflection and celebration.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival & First Night in the Desert
Your driver will pick you up early from Marrakech (from your hotel or the airport).
En route, enjoy a stop in Ouarzazate to visit the famous UNESCO site Aït Ben Haddou – a stunning ksar and filming location of many legendary movies.
Arrive in M’Hamid El Ghizlane in the evening, welcomed by our local travelersinnmorocco
Spend your first night in a peaceful wild bivouac under the stars.

Day 2 – Into the Palmgroves & Sidi Naji Sanctuary
Begin your trek alongside a caravan of camels and our experienced nomadic guides.
We’ll walk through the palm grove of the village and enjoy lunch in the shade of the trees.
Continue on to Sidi Naji, the sacred site of our ancestors, the Nouaji tribe.
Set up camp for the night, and gather around the fire under a sky full of stars.

Day 3 – Erg Aït Ounir & Christmas Eve Celebration
After breakfast, we trek to Erg Ounir, a dune known for its unique color and peaceful atmosphere.
We alternate walking and rest stops, allowing everyone to move at their own pace.
Tonight, we celebrate Christmas Eve in the heart of the desert — with lights, music, warmth, and connection.

Day 4 – Dunes of Bertham & Nomadic Echoes
We continue towards the spectacular dunes of Bertham, where traces of nomadic life still whisper in the sands.
You may see remnants of past dwellings or herding paths.
Set up camp near the Ostrich Plain, where nomads still tend their animals.
Another memorable night in the desert, under a canopy of stars.

Day 5 – Return to Marrakech
After breakfast, we slowly make our way back to civilization.
Your driver will escort you to your accommodation or to the airport in Marrakech.
End of the journey, with your heart full and your soul nourished.
